Compagnoni Hotel was opened in 1894 when tourism was mainly a Summer activity.
Giovan Battista Compagnoni built one of the first lodges of the village. The hotel was first altered by his son during the 30s and underwent a significant extention during the 40s. Thanks to the construction of the first ski lift and the consequent boom in the ski businness in Santa Caterina the hotel was hugely enlarged to welcome even large groups of skiers.

The facades and the interior of the hotel were then given a new look by the grandson (3rd generation) during the 80s.
The hotel was completely renovated in the 90s by Luciano's children. As you can see from the different pictures, the result of this renovation is a modern yet traditional hotel.
